Brief info
Sadiq was born in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan in 1982.
2006, Sadiq graduated with a distinction from the National College of Arts, Lahore, in Miniature Painting.
June 2017, he completed his MA degree with Merit (Honors), from The Prince's School of Traditional Arts in London. Sadiq was honored for his strong body of work; which offered a thought provoking insight into the timeline and lineage of the miniature art practice and form. His thesis project is now part of the permanent collection at the Islamic Art Museum in Malaysia.
Sadiq has had five solo shows, ‘Sepia Voyage’ (2010), ‘Umeed-e-Bahar Rakh’ (2012), ‘Tamasha Merey Aagey’ (2014), ‘The Source is one’ (2018), at the Koel Art Gallery in Karachi Pakistan and ‘Perpetual Layers’ (2016) at Sanat Gallery Karachi. He has exhibited in numerous group shows nationally and has participated and conducted a number of workshops.
2009-2013, Sadiq taught drawing and miniature painting at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi.
2019 Sadiq was nominated and shortlisted as a finalist for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize. He currently lives and works in Karachi.
