Brief info

Born in 1991 in Peshawar, Hoor Imad Sherpao is a visual artist who has graduated in Fine Arts with a degree in Miniature Painting. Sherpao has taken part in various group and two person shows since graduation in 2016 from the National College of Arts, Lahore.
Sherpao’s work features highly ornamental, decorative miniature paintings of female portraits and figures. She draws inspiration from Pre-Raphaelite paintings, Mughal Miniatures and Religious Iconographic Art. Now Sherpao’s miniatures also make use of gilding with 24 karat gold and designing ornate frames to go with the pieces.
Hoor Imad Sherpao is actively taking part in national and international shows. Some of her shows include Empirical Empire at Gallery FullCircle, Karachi; Ustaad Shagird at PNCA Islamabad and China; Open Field at PNCA Islamabad.
During her academic time at NCA, Hoor Imad Sherpao received Merit Scholarships three years in a row and worked as an intern at the Lahore Museum. Sherpao has also worked at the Lahore Bienalle Festival 2018 assisting with installation of The Way to Paradise at the Lawrence Gardens/Baagh-e-Jinnah and has conducted an Origami workshop at the premises.
The artist currently resides and works in Lahore.
