Haider Ali Naqvi was born in June 1992 in Karachi, Pakistan. After receiving early education from the same city, went on to National College of Arts Lahore for BFA in 2015 (With painting as a major and Graduating with a distinction). Since then his works have been featured in Degree show at Zahoor Ul Akhlaq gallery, NCA Lahore (2015); Diverse dimensions, group show at Satrang gallery Islamabad (2015); The Hatchlings, residency show at Avant-Garde and Kitsch gallery Lahore (2015); ‘kaleidoscope’ group show at Aqs gallery Islamabad (2015); ‘Unwritten thoughts’ at IVS gallery Karachi (2016); ‘witness to history’ group show at frère hall Karachi organized by spaces gallery (2016); ‘Open Field’, curated by Aasim Akhtar, at the National Art Gallery Islamabad (2016); ‘Lights art and action’ curated by Munawar Ali Syed at VM art gallery Karachi (2016); ‘Wasteland’ curated by Aasim Akhtar at Artchowk gallery Karachi (2016); ‘Dil to Pagal Hae’ curated by Mohammad Zeeshan at Sanat gallery (2017); 'Microcosm' curated by Adeel uz zafar at Gandhara art space (2017); 'Sugarcoated' by Kamila Rangoonwala and ILLAKA project at Hoxton's basement London (2017).
Haider Ali has also been part of Phillip’s collection workshop held at Al Hamra in 2013 partnered by US department of state and NCA lahore. He was also awarded with merit scholarship award at National College of arts in year 2012, 2013 and 2014. In 2015, he was the recipient of best artwork award for young artist exhibition held at Al Hamra. Since graduation, he has taken part in two artist residencies which includes Avant-Garde and kitsch, Lahore (2015); 4th Sanat residency program (2017).
