Brief info

Born in 1995 Lahore, Fizza Hussain graduated in Fine Arts (Miniature Painting) with honors from National College of Arts Lahore in 2018. Before coming to NCA she studied Fine Arts and English Literature at Kinnaird College for Women University from 2011 to 2013. She has been actively participating in various exhibitions and competitions since 2013, i.e. High Court Art Competition – 2017 (where she took part in the curation of the exhibition as well), We the People We the Arts Competition – 2017 at Islamabad Embassy, Punjab Youth Festival Wall Painting Competition – 2013 and 2016, Group show of Fine Arts Department at Zahoor Ul Akhlaq Gallery, NCA – 2016. She is a recipient of Merit Scholarship in 2015 and 2017 at NCA and attended the Summer Oil Painting Workshop at Shakir Ali Museum in 2016. Her articles were published in the National College of Arts Magazine twice in 2017 and 2018 issues. Fizza is also one of the twenty-four artists from the Maktab Project held in collaboration with Agha Khan Museum as part of the Lahore Biennial 01 in 2018. Hussain lives and works in Lahore.
