Aakif Suri

Brief info

Born in 1982, Aakif Suri completed his bachelors degree in Fine Arts (Miniature Painting) in 2007 and MA. Visual Arts in 2017 from National College of Arts, Lahore. He received ‘Charles Wallace trust fellowship award 2018’ to study at the Princes School of Traditional Arts, London. Akif has exhibited his work in Lahore Art Biennial 2018, Karachi Art Biennial 2017, 'BASEL' art Fair 2012, Switzerland, Melbourne art Fair Australia in 2012 and Slick Art fair 2010, Paris. Along with many group shows in UK, Canada, Switzerland, India, UAE and Muscat he has also been displaying his work in various important group shows and a solo in major cities of Pakistan. His work can be seen in private and official collection and it has been reproduced in different art publications locally and internationally. Aakif lives and works in Lahore where he is currently teaching Indo-Persian Miniature Painting at National College of arts, Lahore.
